I arrived to the city of Buenos Aires with a local flight from Mendoza on November 1st.
I always chose November for going back to my homeland as the weather there is not too cold and not too hot (spring), flight tickets are usually at a good price and people want to meet before the end of the year.
The main purpose on this trip apart from visiting family and friends was to play the piano as much as I could to create a bigger repertory taking into account next year’s compromises. The city inspired me on playing and arranging great tangos.
I met with a lot of friends this time, lots of barbecues, beers, and little room for seeing someone twice, but really happy with all the ones I got to see.
One great anecdote was the whole issue with a yellow fever vaccine shot I needed for my upcoming plans, there were no stock in the private places and the public had appointment not before February. Reminded me last year’s issue with my Italian passport that took so long to be ready that my flatmate had to send it to me by mail in the middle of a trip. This time a doctor I met at a bar, a random person who didn’t know me saved me, getting me the vaccine at a military hospital on the very last day I could do it. Thanks doc!
My sister came with his boyfriend from London on my last day in Buenos Aires so it was a great family event and the reason why I decided to stay an extra week from my initial 1 month plans, so I stayed a total of 5 weeks.
Buenos Aires keeps being crazy and also so attractive… my beloved ones are there and they fill me up with new energies to face the next year.
Thank you Buenos Aires, thank you my motherland!
