In the morning of December 9th, I took a 2 hour flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazú, a city near the triple border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, and the host for one of the most incredible natural sceneries you can ever see: the Iguazú waterfalls.
I arrived with at least 32 degrees of temperature to a hostel near the city center. The River-Boca historic football match was about to start so I had no other option than watching it in the hostel TV, which wasn’t bad given they had a sofa and beers for selling. The only cons was every Argentinian in the hostel was a Boca Juniors fan, so it was me against the whole staff. I suffered the whole game and finally River Plate got the victory and I went crazy and didn’t care about anything/anybody… 🙂
Though, I made good friends during my stay and went to the waterfalls on the next day with a couple other guests.
The landscapes and views are so incredible that really takes your breath away.
I spent two nights on the Argentinian side and then I took a bus and crossed the border to Brazil, where I stayed another 2 nights in a hostel in the middle of the forest and visited the waterfalls from the Brazilian perspective. As usually when I find a unique place, I made a photo album I’m sharing in this link:

Today I took a flight from Foz de Iguazú to the city of Sao Paulo where I’m now waiting for my connection to start the most ambitious part of this incredible trip!
